As part of the continuous measures and precautions issued by the Ministry of Health, below are the guidelines and protocols that The Malta Experience shall undertake to ensure the Health & Safety of its staff and guests alike. The below measures have been approved by the Health & Safety Officer of the M. Demajo Group.
Failure to obey the below measures / precautions could result in the person/s or groups being removed from the premises to safeguard the Health & Safety of all people on the grounds of The Malta Experience.
General
Staff
- For the safety of staff & tourists, all employees working at The Malta Experience shall have their temperatures checked. Any staff with a temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius will be asked to return home and the Company doctor will be called.
- All employees will be provided with a visor which will always be worn when dealing with customers.
Health & Safety
- Antibacterial sanitisers will be available at all areas of The Malta Experience.
- Any person entering the theatre of The Malta Experience shall be subject to temperature checks. Anyone found with a temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius and/or are visibly unwell or have respiratory problems, will not be allowed inside, regardless if the patron forms part of a group.
- Any person entering the theatre of The Malta Experience is required to wear a mask.
- Smoking within the premises of The Malta Experience is not allowed.
- Outside areas will be cleaned & disinfected every morning.
Payments
- Contactless payments are highly advisable within the cafeteria or when purchasing tickets.
- If contactless payments are not possible, payment portals will be disinfected straight after use.
Show timings
- Until further notice, we will remain closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. For more information please visit themaltaexperience.com.
Bathrooms
- Bathrooms will be available in both the cafeteria & souvenir shop; however, entrance will be limited to 2 people (per bathroom).
- Queuing for bathrooms will be allowed, however appropriate social distancing will need to take place.
- Cleaning of bathrooms will be every hour and documented appropriately for patrons to see.
Queuing system
- Anyone wishing to purchase The Malta Experience is to abide by the new queuing system. Pre-paid tickets / groups are to be given preference over other guests without any pre-purchased tickets.
- Appropriate signage for social distancing is to be adhered to.
Documentation: Individual bookings
- As per regulations from the Ministry of Health, the contact name & contact number of at least 1 person per family is to be kept for 28 days. This documentation will only be divulged to an authorised officer in case contact tracing is required.
- Should a patron refuse to give this information, The Malta Experience staff have the right to refuse entry for such patron/s.
Documentation: Group bookings
- As per regulations from the Ministry of Health, the contact name & contact number of at least 1 person per family is to be kept for 28 days. This documentation will only be divulged to an authorised officer in case contact tracing is required.
- To avoid large queues, it is advisable that the agent / school / guide provides this information prior to arriving at The Malta Experience.
- Without this documentation, The Malta Experience staff can refuse entry for any patron/s who have not provided us with such information.
Cafeteria
- Patrons wishing to order food / beverages are requested to queue up in an ordinary manner adhering to the social distancing stickers available.
- All tables & chairs will be disinfected prior to opening of the cafeteria.
- Once a table / chair has been used by a patron, these will be disinfected before another patron can be seated.
Ticketing
Ticketing: Individuals
- An appropriate queuing system will be available whereby patrons are requested to queue up in an ordinary manner adhering to the social distancing stickers available.
- Patrons queuing up to purchase tickets are requested to wear a mask / visor.
- With every ticket purchased, sealed disposable earmuffs will be provided. Patrons are obliged to use these earmuffs when viewing the show.
Ticketing: Groups
- To avoid large queues at the ticket desk, guides are advised to queue themselves and collect tickets.
- With every ticket, sealed disposable earmuffs will be provided. Patrons are encouraged to use these earmuffs when viewing the show.
Theatre
- Patrons are encourages to sit a minimum of 2 seats away from the next visitor/family.
- Upon entry into the theatre, patrons will be subject to temperature checks. Anyone found with a temperature of 37.2 degrees Celsius and/or are visibly unwell or have respiratory problems, will not be allowed inside. A full refund will be given to those who cannot enter.
- All patrons / staff entering the theatre are to wear a mask / visor.
- After each show, no tourist / guide is allowed in the theatre. Entrance will be granted only by The Malta Experience staff after the theatre has been thoroughly cleaned.
Souvenir shop
- Patrons queuing up in the souvenir shop are requested to wear a mask / visor.
- Patrons are requested to queue up in an ordinary manner adhering to the social distancing stickers available.
